"Come to Me"

This poem captures my journey with Jesus through the passage in the Bible. Matthew 11:28-30 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

"Come to Me"

Do you hear Jesus calling?

Can you accept His invitation?

Are you willing to reply in your heart?

Are you too busy to hear Him calling?

Are you too prideful to accept His invitation?

Is your heart too hardened to reply to His love?

Why not slow down to hear Him calling?

Why not be humble to accept His invitation?

Why not soften your heart to reply to His love?

When you can finally hear Him calling

When you can finally accept His invitation

When your heart can finally reply to His love

You can find the rest you need

You can take His yoke upon you

You can find the rest for your soul

He is so patient

He is so gentle

He is so humble

You will be drawn to His loving gaze

You will want to stay with Him and learn from Him

You will be able to live easy yoked and light burdened life in Him

We are meant to live this way with Him

We are meant to be loved by Him unconditionally

We are meant to love, Him, ourselves, and others with this love

Isn't it wonderful?

Isn't it amazing?

Isn't it perfect?

So come!
